SEO for wine industry suppliers

When a winemaker searches for a new barrel cooper, closure or bottling line, your business should be the first name they see. I build the pages and authority that put you there, in Google and in AI answers.

“I want buyers to find us when they search for what we make.”

If that sounds like you, this is the page for you.

How the work runs

Buyers in this trade search inside a narrow window. A winemaker thinking about closures in February has usually decided by April, and the search that matters happens in that gap. The work is ordered around what they look for then.

Search volume in this category is low, and that is the opportunity rather than the problem. There is no month with a thousand searches for your product line. There are a few dozen, made by people who buy in quantity, and almost nobody writing properly for them. One page that answers a real question can keep paying for years.

The first pass is technical and quick: making sure every page you already have can be found, indexed and loaded fast. The second is the pages themselves, one for each product line and each real question, with your specifications in them. The third is the slow part, earning mentions in the trade press and on the supplier lists buyers actually read.

Visibility in AI answers comes out of the same work. A page that states a specification plainly gets quoted back to people. A page of adjectives does not.

What I need from you

The specifications, and permission to publish them.

Time with your sales team, because the questions they answer on the phone each week are the pages that will rank. A list of the trade publications, associations and directories that matter in your markets.

Access to Search Console and analytics. If they are not set up, I set them up, and we lose a few weeks of history rather than the whole picture.

Who this suits

Suppliers whose buyers research before they call, in a category where you can describe what you do precisely.

It suits you best if you sell across borders, because pages written properly in French and English reach two markets for not much more work than one.

If your orders come entirely from long relationships and trade shows and you are content with that, search work will feel slow, and you may be right to leave it.

How you will know it is working

Rankings are in the report, but enquiries from search are the point, along with which pages produced them.

Expect movement within three to six months on pages, and sooner on the technical work. If six months pass with nothing, I will tell you what I misjudged.
