Analytics cookies
Can I use Google Analytics cookies to see which pages are useful? They're only set if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time. Read the cookie notice

francwine.co uses one security cookie that the site needs, and Google Analytics cookies only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. There are no advertising or social media cookies.
If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing from Google loads.
The banner asks the first time you visit. I keep your answer in your browser for 6 months, then ask again.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the site deletes its Google Analytics cookies straight away.
Refusing cookies never affects what you can do on the site.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Kept for | Needs your consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Tells people apart from harmful bots to keep the site secure | 30 minutes | No, strictly necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visit from another, so I can count visitors | 13 months | Yes |
| _ga_ZH3V5H2FYF | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit | 13 months | Yes |
Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage under the name fw-consent, so the banner doesn’t reappear on every page. It holds only your answer and the date.
If you accept, I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read, how people find the site and whether they send an enquiry. Google doesn’t store your IP address in Analytics, and I don’t use Google’s advertising features, so your visit isn’t used to show you ads. Analytics data about individual visitors is deleted after 14 months.
For everyone, I also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. It collects only anonymous totals such as page views, referring sites and country.
Every font and image on francwine.co is served from the site itself. Until you accept analytics cookies, your browser connects only to francwine.co and Cloudflare. If you accept, it also connects to Google to load Analytics.
Your browser settings also let you view and delete cookies at any time. The site works fully with cookies switched off.
