UK wine trade calendar 2027: the fairs, tastings and shows worth a day out of the vineyard

Dates, venues and who each event suits: the UK wine trade fairs, tastings and shows for 2027, plus the fairs in France and Germany UK producers travel to.

By Martial ChaputPublished 7 min read

The UK wine trade year runs to a steady rhythm. Paris and Düsseldorf in late winter for export deals, London in May for UK buyers, English Wine Week in June for the cellar door, the WineGB tasting in September for the trade press, and Kent in November to talk kit after harvest. This calendar lists the events worth a day out of the vineyard for UK producers and the suppliers who work with them, with dates, venues and the kind of business that gets the most from each.

I update the page as organisers confirm their dates. Anything still waiting on confirmation is marked TBC.

UK events

Vineyard & Winery Show

Vineyard magazine’s one-day show at Kent County Showground, now in its sixth year. The 2025 edition filled both halls with 110 exhibitors, with English and Welsh wines to taste alongside the equipment that makes them. Doors open from 9am to 5pm.

Go if you grow, make wine or supply people who do. It lands just after harvest, so the conversations are about what worked this year and what to buy for the next. I’m there on 25 November 2026, so if you’re going, say hello.

London Wine Fair

Three days at Olympia London, 17 to 19 May 2027, with over 10,000 trade visitors expected. Signature Serve runs alongside it for premium spirits and mixers.

Go if you want UK importers, retailers and restaurant buyers in one building. Book meetings well ahead, because buyers plan their days weeks out.

WineGB National Trade & Press Tasting

The annual showcase of English and Welsh wine for buyers and writers, open to trade and press only. The 2025 tasting had more than 80 producers and 500 visitors, and the 2026 edition moved to Old Billingsgate on 7 September.

Go if you produce in England or Wales and want your wines in front of the people who list them and write about them.

English Wine Week

WineGB’s national campaign each June, with vineyards, shops and restaurants running tastings, tours and dinners. The 2026 week ran from 20 to 28 June, and WineGB lists events that producers submit across its own channels.

Go all in if you have a cellar door. It is the week of the year when the press and the public are already looking for vineyard visits.

BCB London

The bar trade show that took over from Imbibe Live in 2025, held at Tobacco Dock in Wapping. The first edition drew around 140 exhibitors and 3,650 visitors.

Go if your wines suit cocktail bars and modern restaurants, or you make spirits, vermouth or low and no alcohol drinks.

Cool Climate Wine Summit London

A new two-day trade fair on 22 and 23 February 2027, with 60 selected cool climate producers, a walk-around tasting and ticketed masterclasses.

Go if you want English wine poured beside other cool climate regions, in front of London buyers who already favour that style.

Fairs abroad worth the trip

Wine Paris

The February fair at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, 15 to 17 February 2027, where much of the export year gets set up. WineGB took a pavilion there for the first time in 2025, with nine producers. Go if you want importers from several markets in three days.

ProWein

Düsseldorf, 7 to 9 March 2027, a week earlier than usual. The 2026 edition drew 31,000 trade visitors from 105 countries. Go for northern European buyers in particular.

Millésime Bio

The organic wine fair in Montpellier, 25 to 27 January 2027. The 2026 edition had 1,400 exhibitors and 8,700 trade visits, and the 2027 edition is planned slightly smaller, at 1,200 to 1,300 stands. Go if you are certified organic and want buyers who shop on that basis.

Vinitech-Sifel and SITEVI

The two big French equipment shows, each held every other year. Vinitech-Sifel runs in Bordeaux from 1 to 3 December 2026, its 25th edition, with over 700 exhibitors expected. SITEVI follows in Montpellier from 30 November to 2 December 2027. Go when you are planning a winery fit-out, a new press or a sprayer, and want to see the whole market side by side.

Which events to pick

Start from what you want the year to bring, then pick one or two events that serve it. A small estate gets more from two well-prepared days than from six rushed ones.

What you want Start with
A UK importer or distributor London Wine Fair, WineGB Trade & Press Tasting
Restaurant and bar listings BCB London, London Wine Fair
Export partners Wine Paris, ProWein
Buyers for organic wine Millésime Bio
More visitors at the cellar door English Wine Week
Press coverage WineGB Trade & Press Tasting
New kit or suppliers Vineyard & Winery Show, Vinitech-Sifel, SITEVI

The work that pays off happens before the doors open: a list of who you want to meet, meetings booked, samples and price lists ready, and a follow-up email written the same week. For suppliers exhibiting to wineries, I’ve written up how wine industry suppliers win winery clients online, which covers the follow-up that turns a stand conversation into an order.

Common questions

What is the biggest wine trade fair in the UK? London Wine Fair, at Olympia London from 17 to 19 May 2027, with over 10,000 trade visitors expected.

When is English Wine Week 2027? WineGB sets the dates each year and the week falls in late June. The 2026 week ran from 20 to 28 June. I’ll add the 2027 dates as soon as WineGB confirms them.

When is the Vineyard & Winery Show? The 2026 show is on Wednesday 25 November at Kent County Showground, from 9am to 5pm. Tickets are booked through Vineyard magazine.

Can the public go to these events? Most are for the trade, and some check that visitors work in the industry. English Wine Week is the big public moment, with events at vineyards, shops and restaurants across England and Wales.

If you’re planning which events to back next year and how to follow them up, start with a marketing audit.
